All Better!

The visiting nurse came again today and Maddie's jaundice has gone away enough for her to be off of the light blanket! Hooray! Now we can actually put her in her bassinet at night and Hank and I can both sleep in our bed. We have spent the past three nights alternating sleeping on the couch next to the pack 'n' play downstairs. Not only are the sleeping arrangements going to be better now, but we can actually move Maddie around the house and even take her out.

The other thing the nurse found today is that Maddie gained six ounces between yesterday and today! Holy cow! I think she has been catching up from the beginning of the week when she wasn't eating well. At this point, Maddie weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces, so she has already regained her birth weight and then some. If she keeps going like this, she is going to outgrow all of her 0-3 month clothes before we can even put all of them on her!
